Let’s work together.

I help you achieve your goals in a number of ways.

  1. Working from the ground up.  As humans, we have fully interconnected systems: mind, body and spirit. When one part goes out of balance, the others tend to follow. Rather than simply addressing the surface issue, I care to get to the root. My counselling approach honours the whole of you, utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Direct Neurofeedback and Synergetic Play Therapy alongside counselling. In doing so, I work with my clients to re-establish balance, fluidity, and sense of self.
  2. Through collaboration with your existing support system.  Oftentimes my clients are working with other professionals on their healing journey, whether that be doctors, psychologists, school counsellors or teachers. In my experience, working together tends to be a uniquely successful strategy. If that would be helpful for you, I can communicate with your other healthcare providers to facilitate a unified strategy for healing; combining our efforts and working together as your team — only with your permission and involvement.
  3. With the help of family and community.  We heal together. As naturally social creatures, we heal best when we are surrounded by people who have our back. These groups of people come in all shapes and sizes (and it certainly does not look the same for everyone), but big or small, community is a force to be reckoned with. Participating in a healthy community has the ability to bring healing, to encourage continued health, and to maintain purpose and energy in life. I work with you and your family to identify ways in which your community can provide support and I offer tools for how to advocate for your needs and ask for help.

I am here to support you and your mental health, by working with the whole you. In taking this holistic approach in my practice, my intention is to help you re-form your life to allow for greater ease, health and happiness.
